Awareness survivor Dr Shelley Freeman has developed a programme in the USA that can help patients overcome anxiety they may feel towards undergoing future surgery. Shelley recently presented her research to the 7th International Symposium on Memory, Awareness and Anaesthesia in Munich (13-15th March 08), and is continuing to use her programme to significantly improve patient outcomes.
