Thanks to both Radio 5 Live and the Today programme with John Humphries for including Anaesthetic Awareness amongst this morning’s features, and to all who took part. You can read the BBC Health news feature here. Listen out for further interviews by Claudia Hammond of the BBC World Service on Monday. The Anaesthetic Network will not rest until more is done not only to support victims of awareness and their families (especially by hospitals and GPs following an incident) - but also to encourage governments and the medical ‘establishment’ to continue to take all steps possible to try to prevent this horrific experience happening to patients under anaesthesia in future. One case IS one too many!
And if you are still not convinced, look here to read the transcript of the Larry King Show (CNN 12.12.07), featuring Carol Weihrer and members of the US Campaign…..
