AANUK&I was represented recently at this important patient advocacy meeting by Meryl Davies, Facilitator for Wales, who has overcome many personal difficulties to make sure that the campaign to improve the experience and outcome of patients who are at risk of awareness remains high on the medical agenda. A full report of this meeting will be available soon.
Meryl has also worked insistently with her local political representatives, including Roger Williams MP, to successfully raise the problem of awareness under anaesthesia at the highest level. Questions are again to be asked in Parliament. WATCH THIS SPACE!
